These premium first flush tea leaves are harvested in May from our organic NaturaliTea gardens. After harvesting, the whole leaves are steamed, rolled and dried and finally roasted, which creates this rich and rounded tea. Most of the caffeine is lost during the roasting process, so this is a great late afternoon/evening treat. The infusion is reddish brown with a soothing earthy aroma.

Brewing Instructions

Use one spoonful per cup, brew at 90°C / 195°F for 90 seconds.

Meet Tamiko Kinezuka who runs the final tea processing facility for NaturaliTea. Tamiko carefully checks the shape and condition of the leaves as well as the smell, taste, and colour of the brew. To maintain her superb sense of smell, Tamiko refrains from eating spices during the month before spring final processing.

After harvesting the whole leaves are steamed, rolled and dried and finally roasted which creates this rich and rounded tea.
