Tea Rebellion at the Toronto Tea Festival — A Weekend to Remember 🍃✨
This past weekend, Tea Rebellion had the absolute pleasure of attending the Toronto Tea Festival for the 6th time — and what an incredible experience it was!
For over a decade, the Toronto Tea Festival has been one of Canada’s premier celebrations of tea culture, bringing together passionate tea lovers, expert vendors, educators, and curious newcomers under one roof. Originally launched in the early 2010s, the festival has grown year after year into a vibrant, welcoming space where people of all backgrounds can explore the world of tea through tastings, demonstrations, talks, and cultural ceremonies. In 2024, it marked its 10th anniversary — a major milestone that highlighted how far the festival has come and how deeply the tea community in Toronto has flourished.
A Warm, Tea-Filled Weekend
Held at the beautiful Appel Salon in the Toronto Reference Library, this year’s festival was another buzzing weekend of connection, conversation, and discovery. From the moment the doors opened on Saturday morning through to the final sips on Sunday evening, the place was soo filled with “tea energy”.
At our Tea Rebellion | Matcha Rebellion stand, we were honoured to meet so many of you — from those seeking something new to seasoned steepers with stories to share. Pouring all Troyes of teas in particular our winning white, green and first prize matcha tailored to everyone’s unique tastes was a true delight, and so many of you told us how much you appreciated the quality, care, and taste in every cup. You reminded us why we do what we do: to build connection and joy, one cup at a time.
Gratitude to the Organisers and Volunteers
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the festival organizers and volunteers. Their hard work behind the scenes ensured the event ran smoothly — from registration and setup to support for exhibitors and attendees alike. We were especially grateful for the new internal ticketing system, which every team member helped make work brilliantly across both days.
We also want to extend a special thank you to our own Tea Rebellion brand ambassadors who helped man the stand — your passion, energy, and support were felt in every pour, and laugh shared.
