This privacy policy sets out how Tea Rebellion uses and protects any information that you give Tea Rebellion when you use this website. Who is collecting data:

Tea Rebellion is collecting the data from our website. For payment transactions this includes Paypal and Stripe. For point of sales at events this also sometimes includes square. Google and Facebook are also collecting data when we advertise through them. Tea Rebellion uses Google analytics and here is a link to how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.

What we collect

When you correspond with us or purchase something from our store, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, credit card or debit information and email address. We do not collect or store any information related to “special categories."

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive information about your computer, including your computer’s Internet protocol (IP) address, using cookies and similar technologies.

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Our e commerce cart is managed by a third-party service provider called Woo Commerce. To keep track of cart data, WooCommerce makes use of 3 cookies:

• woocommerce_cart_hash
• woocommerce_items_in_cart
• wp_woocommerce_session_

The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.

When you provide our payment gateways with credit card information to handle the actual payment, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) as managed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
